I've had a Bosch microwave that connects to my oven for 12 years. It quit working and it took me a year to find out how to get it replaced. I found the microwave and then I had to find somebody that could figure out how to install it but it's installed and I love that. I have my microwave over my oven again.

After 11 months of service the device started to generate noise, sparks and burning odors from the magnetron area. Tried calling Bosch repairs, waited for more than an hour on the line with no answer. No way to submit a ticket online. Bad reliablility, terrible customer service.

This microwave was easy to install and it's easy to use. I have a 15 y.o. and 12 y.o. and they adapted to this new microwave with minimal learning curve. I like that the beeping isn't too annoying or aggressive, like some other microwaves out there. We needed this specific size to fit in our wall's cutout, and Bosch is a name that I trust. This was an easy purchase to decide on. (The corresponding trim kit is wider than our old one, so that took some getting used to visually.)

What can I say, this is one beatuful appliance. I installed myself, and had I had to cut out some of my cabinet, but because the included install instructions were well written I was able to DIY. The trim really set it off and makes the install look custom. Highly recommended.

We purchased this unit to replace a whirlpool built in that had gone out three times. The Bosch unit is more spacious inside, looks great, and is real easy to wipe down inside. The fan will run for 30 secs or so after using, which was different from others out there so be prepared. It's not overly loud when it's running at all; also the chime volume can be adjusted via menu.

If the seller does npt have the trim kit in stock, do not buy this as a built in. I bought one two months ago and it is just fine as a microwave, but I still can't find the trim kit whoch you need to install correctly as a built-in. My retailelr said he would call his Bosch rep, but no joy yet. I don't know why the trim kit is so hard to find.

Overall a good microwave. It has a good capacity (deep) but a bit weaker in heating (takes few secs longer to heat food). The only function I don't like is to press stop before you can open the door when it's done

Replaced 15 year old built in microwave. This one did not fit my space but was the closest I could find. Made install of trim kit hard. I like the power and quietness but am sad the trim is painted plastic and a little worried that door opener latch will not withstand the use it gets in my home. ( that was a perpetual problem in my last oven of a different brand). It's a little odd when I press it to open. It has a fan that activates to cool after use which is also odd, since it's in a cabinet I'm not sure where it is exiting

Microwave install was self explanatory,but trim kit was a different story... if you're opening isn't 19 1/2" tall the upper bracket will not engage into the trim

Seems pretty cheaply made for the cost. Works OK so far (1 month). Replaced a previous version with this unit and liked the previous version better (was working only sporadically after 7 years). If I didnt have other Bosch appliances and couldnt use the existing fascia plate (another $300), I would have gone with another brand.

We are pleased with our new Bosch Microwave...the digital readout is nice and bright, the lighting inside is also great, it works well. The only complaint we have is the mounting bracket on the bottom lifted the installed unit about 2 inches higher that our previous Kitchenaid microwave, and the trim kit didnt fit as it was too high. I ended up modifying the previous trim kit to make it fit.

We love love love this microwave. The clean design looks great in our new kitchen. It functions flawlessly, we appreciate the quality, the power and especially the fact that it's very quiet. It has taken some getting used to have to press the stop button to unlock the door and pushing the latch to open the door (seems like an unnecessary to step process. We are very fortunate to have all Bosch appliances in our new kitchen (it feels good).

This microwave is a replacement of the Bosch one I had for almost 10 years. On the first one, the light bulb blew out after just over a year of use. To replace it, I would have had to get a certified service provider for over $150. Needless to say I didn't fix it. Finally the number buttons stopped working, so I needed to replace the oven.
This new one has an automatic locking function that is very, very annoying. Also after reading your Manuel on the functions, I cannot get rid of it. Also I cannot make sense of the functions buttons that you do have. Other than 'popcorn', they are useless. My beverage is NOT either 6 or 10 oz. Useless!
I only got the Bosch oven because I wanted the dishwasher and because I was doing a kitchen makeover I bought all the same appliances. I do like the dishwasher a lot but the one thing that bothers me is that I must always set the dishwasher to 'normal' it always comes up with Auto. Whatever that means.

We really like this new microwave. It is a replacement for another Bosch that lasted for many years and we hope to get a long life out of this one also. It is really quiet along with other small improvements which we like. It's not a cheap replacement but is worth the price.

This built-in microwave is quieter than the model it replaced and has an interior light, which the older model did not. It also has a built-in child safety lock. The trim kit has been redesigned and is a better match to the Bosch oven below it. These features are definitely improvements. The downside - it does not heat as quickly as the old model. And we waited three months to get the replacement microwave.

This microwave is nice, but not sure the price and trim kit can be justified. I purchased from abt electronics and had an issue with dents on the trim kit, but abt quickly sent out a replacement that was in perfect condition; excellent customer service. The door on the microwave was not installed level, so it needed to be adjusted. So far I'm happy with the product, it works fine, although I'm not too keen on having to press the stop/clear button every time prior to opening the door after use.

Fit perfectly replacing our 10 year old Bosch of the same model. Thai model is quiet, easy to use, easy to clean and the old glass dish can be saved as an extra just in case. Very happy with this model and for me sis not need to move up.

My first one just up and quit after 7 years. I really liked it except it didn't have a couple features that this one has. I'm excited it has a "soften/melt" button and the "start +30" button. Thirty seconds is better than a minute which the first one had. The overall size on outside appears smaller but seems deeper; not sure of dimensions. The only other factor I'd like to mention is that the buttons are smaller with smaller writing- that's going to be a minus for me at least til I memorize the ones used most frequently.

We remodeled the kitchen of our home about 25 years ago and installed Bosch double convection ovens along with a Bosch diswasher and other appliances. Those Bosch products are still working perfectly. We are renovating the kitchen again after these many years and have installed a Bosch built-in microwave oven that has the same appearance as the ovens. In addition to looking really good, this appliance works incredibly well. It has many automated settings that are useful for what many people do regulary such as baking potatoes, make popcorn, cooking frozen pizza and many more. We also installed the trim kit for the micrwave and this really made it look perfect. I would recommend this appliance to anyone.

This is my first stainless steel appliance and I find that I don't like them due to being able to see all smudges and finger prints. I've only been using for 2 months so my only issue is with the "press stop to unlock" message that scrolls too fast and some of the letters are not complete; so this would be hard for someone not familiar with how microwaves work. And the second item is the trim kit....it is plastic, and you can see divits and wavey surface from almost every angle, not to mention finger prints. I was hoping Bosch made a black trim kit, but they don't.

The digital screen is missing part of the letters when it scrolls "Press stop to unlock". It scrolls fast and then some parts of the letters are no there. Not a big deal, but I can see how it would be hard for those that can't see well or are trying to figure out what it is spelling out. Stainless shows all finger prints, ugh! Surround trim kit shows dips and divits when the light hit it just right, and also shows finger prints.

I ordered microwave and 27" trim. My overall experience is not great. Trim surround quality is terrible. I installed and looks terrible at best. Trim appears to have 9-10 dimples from "plastic frame" and looks like a wavy mess. I will be returning. The microwave door stainless doesn't appear much better and also looks wavy. Not impressed and my supplier really doesn't care.

Bought this item to replace a Thermador microwave that was attached to the oven. This Bosch was the only item with 27 inch trim kit. Installed it myself and it fits perfectly. Since Bosch bought Thermador, it was the only brand that had a similar size unit. Very happy with this unit so far.

Our Bosch microwave (10 years old) stopped working so we purchased a new one. Apparently, Bosch had stopped making this size, but probably realized they needed to have a model the same size as the old one, since they are built in (which we appreciated). We purchased this one, but were required to purchase a new trim kit, since the frame to insert the microwave was different. Once we got it installed, we did not like the trim at all! Instead of a solid piece of stainless with vents, like our old one, it was extremely thin stainless veneer over some kind of light base. It had waves in it and did not look good in our kitchen, since we don't have the latest kitchen style. We couldn't believe that we had paid $300 for it! My husband figured out how to use the new brackets, put them on the old trim and make our old one fit. We threw the new one in the trash! On the microwave, I don't like that every time I touch a setting it leaves a finger print, and that you have to push stop/cancel before opening the door when you want to take the food out. Other than that, it's a nice microwave.

Microwave delovered almost 2 months ago and I love it. I think it's a 5 star in performance and design. Problem is that it has a significant scratch on the upper part of its door and a few hairline scratches. Bosch scheduled service under the warranty, a 3 week wait, cancelled the date and rescheduled, another 3 weeks. Will see what happens. A LONG wait,

Had to replace my 500 series built in microwave which is not made any more. My kitchen is all Bosch so I went with the 300 series which is just about the same. You will need a new trim kit as the 500 series is different, wanted all appliance to match.
The trim kit HMT5050 is the 30" wide one. It is very cheap compared the the old 500 series one. Made of molded plastic that is chromed over. Because the plastic is wavey on the surface when light hits it lools like a kids toy. Also was missing the 4 washer screw for mounting it which no one at Bosch knew the part number, spoke to two different people??
After spending $699 for microwave and $299 for trim kit that is junk, will be the last Bosch appliance I ever buy!!
